O saber que el percentatge d\u2019ocupacions d&#8217;habitatge habitual o les den\u00fancies falses per viol\u00e8ncia masclista representen un percentatge estad\u00edsticament irrellevant? <strong>Les dades, per si soles, no emocionen<\/strong>&nbsp;i all\u00f2 que no emociona t\u00e9 un valor educatiu relatiu, si el que pretenem \u00e9s transformar la realitat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aquesta \u00e9s la paradoxa a la qual ens enfrontem educadors i educadores quan abordem els discursos d&#8217;odi: <strong>tenim m\u00e9s informaci\u00f3 que mai, per\u00f2 la informaci\u00f3 per si sola no immunitza contra el prejudici<\/strong>. L\u2019incipient treball sobre els discursos d\u2019odi a l\u2019aula s\u2019est\u00e0 construint sobre els pilars tradicionals de l\u2019escola, instituci\u00f3 marcada per una tradici\u00f3 positivista fortament arrelada, que parteix de la creen\u00e7a que el coneixement racional \u00e9s suficient per canviar consci\u00e8ncies. Per\u00f2 la psicologia social i la neuroci\u00e8ncia ens diuen el contrari: els \u00e9ssers humans<strong>&nbsp;no constru\u00efm valors \u00fanicament des de la ra\u00f3, els constru\u00efm, sobretot, des de l&#8217;emoci\u00f3 i des del relat.<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El biaix positivista que impregna el treball sobre discursos d&#8217;odi a l&#8217;aula no \u00e9s accidental: t\u00e9 arrels filos\u00f2fiques hist\u00f2riques que impregnen una mirada incompleta. Des de la tradici\u00f3 il\u00b7lustrada, que tant ha aportat en termes de drets civils i de pensament cr\u00edtic, s&#8217;ha tendit a situar la ra\u00f3 al centre de la naturalesa humana i a tractar tot all\u00f2 que li \u00e9s ali\u00e8 com quelcom allunyat de l\u2019\u00e0mbit del saber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La immensa majoria dels \u00e9ssers humans, al llarg de tota la hist\u00f2ria, en totes les cultures i tamb\u00e9 avui, han organitzat la seva vida, els seus valors i la seva identitat no a partir de dades verificables sin\u00f3 a partir de la creen\u00e7a i l\u2019emoci\u00f3: religi\u00f3, mite, llegenda o m\u00e9s recentment, fins i tot, ideologia tenen un paper socialment estructurals. S\u00f3n mirades profundament humanes per donar sentit al m\u00f3n, de construir comunitat i de <strong>gestionar all\u00f2 que la ra\u00f3 no sempre ens explica amb claredat<\/strong>: identitat, pertinen\u00e7a, incertesa o la por.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ignorar aquesta dimensi\u00f3 quan treballem els discursos d&#8217;odi \u00e9s un error estrat\u00e8gic. <strong>L&#8217;odi no es propaga a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;arguments racionals<\/strong>, m\u00e9s aviat a trav\u00e9s de relats, s\u00edmbols i emocions que connecten amb els angles morts de la identitat. Combatre-ho nom\u00e9s amb dades i arguments \u00e9s, en certa manera, respondre en un idioma diferent del que parla el prejudici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hi ha una difer\u00e8ncia fonamental entre explicar les conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies emp\u00edriques negatives que deriven de la discriminaci\u00f3 o escoltar la veu d&#8217;una noia musulmana que ens explica com cada dia, en pujar al metro, alguna gent canvia d\u2019actitud. Per suposat no s\u00f3n vessants contradict\u00f2ries i ambd\u00f3s s\u00f3n complement\u00e0ries, per\u00f2 el poder del relat particular \u00e9s que pot arribar a despertar la connexi\u00f3 emocional, activant l\u2019empatia, veritable ant\u00eddot contra la deshumanitzaci\u00f3 que alimenta l&#8217;odi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Els relats personals o comunitaris tenen potencialitats que les estad\u00edstiques no poden replicar: situen el receptor en la pell de l&#8217;altre. Quan un alumne escolta un testimoni directe, quan llegeix una novel\u00b7la que narra la discriminaci\u00f3, quan veu una pel\u00b7l\u00edcula o un documental que posa rostre a l\u2019altre, s&#8217;activen mecanismes cognitius i afectius que una taula estad\u00edstica no podr\u00e0 replicar. L&#8217;alteritat deixa de ser abstracta per passar a tenir nom i deixar de ser-te indiferent. Treballar els discursos d&#8217;odi des del relat i l\u2019emoci\u00f3 no significa abandonar el rigor, al contrari. Significa <strong>entendre que el rigor per si sol no \u00e9s suficient, malgrat ser imprescindible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abordar l&#8217;odi a l&#8217;aula exigeix crear un clima on els alumnes puguin expressar les seves pors, els seus prejudicis i les seves confusions sense temor al judici immediat. Moltes persones han absorbit discursos discriminatoris des de casa, els grups d&#8217;iguals o les xarxes socials. Cap d\u2019aquestes persones, molt probablement, actua com a altaveu primari, m\u00e9s aviat s\u00f3n repetidors d\u2019una internacional reaccion\u00e0ria que ha impregnat els debats p\u00fablics de discussions que fa uns anys ens eren impensables. <strong>Si a l&#8217;escola \u00fanicament hi troben confrontaci\u00f3 emp\u00edrica i retret moral, el treball amb aquestes persones es torna impossible<\/strong>. Si, en canvi, es converteix l\u2019aula en un espai de confian\u00e7a on se\u2019ls convida a explorar d&#8217;on venen aquests discursos, com els fan sentir o a quines necessitats responen, \u00e9s possible iniciar un proc\u00e9s de revisi\u00f3 cr\u00edtica radical, \u00e9s a dir, que vagi a l\u2019arrel de la q\u00fcesti\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Darrere d&#8217;una persona que reprodueix un discurs xen\u00f2fob o masclista sovint hi ha ansietat, sentiment de despla\u00e7ament o, molt probablement, incertesa material present i futura. Treballar l&#8217;odi des de l&#8217;emoci\u00f3 significa preguntar-se, tamb\u00e9, quins malestars l&#8217;alimenten. <strong>El repte per als docents \u00e9s trobar l&#8217;equilibri<\/strong>, sense renunciar a la informaci\u00f3 rigorosa, per\u00f2 no deixant-se seduir per la il\u00b7lusi\u00f3, feta esl\u00f2gan d\u2019una part del periodisme, d&#8217;all\u00f2 tan repetit que <em>dato mata relato<\/em>. Cal construir ponts entre saber i sentir, a trav\u00e9s de testimonis directes, de la literatura, del cinema o de la m\u00fasica, posant al centre, tamb\u00e9, les experi\u00e8ncies properes dels mateixos alumnes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allunyant-nos de confondre el treball contra els discursos d\u2019odi amb una mena d&#8217;adoctrinament on es presenta un paquet ideol\u00f2gic, suportat sobre una s\u00e8rie de dades emp\u00edriques, que s\u2019ha de comprar per ser \u201cbon ciutad\u00e0\u201d. Perqu\u00e8 l&#8217;educaci\u00f3 contra l&#8217;odi sigui realment transformadora ha de tocar all\u00e0 on la discriminaci\u00f3 habita -en la por, la recerca d&#8217;identitat o la incertesa material- i ha de fer-ho sense substituir un dogma per un altre.
